About Us

Mother MaryCREDO Rochester, Inc. is a not-for-profit Catholic lay apostolate that is located in Rochester, NY. We are a dedicated group of orthodox Catholics who are completely faithful to the Church’s Magisterium. Our apostolate was formed in response to the obligation of all Catholics to be engaged in both the corporal and spiritual works of mercy. We are engaged in this obligation on two fronts.

First, we believe that the spreading of the gospel message is essential to the success of our ministry. It is essential, in this age of moral confusion, that more and more people understand the truths that are taught by the Catholic faith. As Paul says in his first letter to Timothy, the Church is the “pillar and bulwark of the truth”. These truths are objective norms that, if followed, will keep us on the pathway to eternal salvation. This web site is one of the ways we choose to share this message of hope. You will find many Catholic resources just a click away when you visit our “Catholic Faith” page. We also welcome e-mail inquiries regarding questions you may have about the Catholic Church.

Secondly, we are very involved in pro-life ministry in the Rochester area. CREDO is the American Life League Associate (ALL) group in Rochester. We are currently distributing pro-life materials door to door in various parts of Monroe County. We have visited thousands of homes throughout the area in an effort to share the truth about the tragedy of abortion, euthanasia, and embryonic experimentation. You will find a tremendous amount of information on these topics when you visit our “Pro-Life Information” page. We especially encourage you to access the American Life League’s web site that is linked on this page. ALL is one of the premier pro-life organizations in the world, and their site contains a wealth of information.

We hope you find this web site to be useful and informative. Please add us to your favorites list and visit us often. We maintain a regular news column to keep you informed of events of religious and cultural significance. In addition to national and international news, we regularly report on events of local significance in the Rochester area. You will find these reports in our “Eye On Rochester” page. Also, if you have a particular concern about an issue in your parish or the Rochester Diocese, please share it with us through our “Orthodoxy Hotline” connection.

We thank you for taking the time to visit us. We hope that you will comeback on a regular basis. And, feel free to drop us a line. We’d love to hear from you.
