The Irondequoit community of churches is currently in the final stages of a planning process that will result in the clustering of several parishes. One of the reasons for this regrouping is the shortage of priests in the Rochester Diocese. There are very few younger priests in this diocese. In fact, it was recently reported that there are only 12 priests under the age of 58. If this is so, then almost all our priests will be age 70 or older in 12 years time.
